Our Experience

Athena Collections was founded by Managing Director Andrew Athineos, who has over 20 years’ experience in accounts receivable management, debt collection, commercial debt recovery, insolvency, and litigation.

Andrew has worked across both B2B and B2C environments and has been directly involved in recovering in excess of £50 million for businesses across a wide range of sectors. His experience in growing businesses gives Athena Collections a practical understanding of how unpaid debts impact cash flow, confidence, and long-term decision-making.

Our Debt Collection Fees...

We operate on a NO COLLECTION, NO COMMISSION basis.

There are no sign-up fees, no contracts, and no ongoing obligations. You instruct us when you need us, and we only charge commission on monies actually recovered.

Our commission rates are straightforward and competitive. The earlier a debt is passed to us, the lower the commission, starting from as little as 5 percent and rising to 25 percent for post-judgment debts. For larger balances, commission caps can be agreed.

If you currently work with another debt collection agency, we are happy to benchmark our fees against theirs and, where possible, match or improve on existing rates.

Legal Action and Transparency

We are open and transparent throughout the debt recovery process.

If legal action is required, additional costs will apply. We will always explain your options clearly, outline the associated costs, and only proceed once you have given explicit instructions.

In many cases, legal fees, interest, and compensation costs can be recovered from the debtor. Where applicable, we can also add interest and fixed compensation in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, subject to your contractual terms.
